Item: Type: Terra Cotta Net Weights / Disc Provenance: Price
RPOW12 A nice set of 3 terra cotta pieces consisting of 2 net weights and one disc, which was probably Recovered from Mexico (NFI) 35.00
employed as a "bottle stopper". These are quite unusual pieces which you don't see all that often. Ex: Greg Perino
Click on the Photo set above for an enlarged photo

Item: Type: Terra Cotta Frog Effigy Net Weight Provenance: Price
RPOW13 A highly unusual terra cotta Frog Effigy Net Weight which is in excellent condition. Recovered from Mexico (NFI) 85.00
I don't believe I've ever seen another like it, so it must be quite scarce. Ex: Greg Perino
Click on the Photo set above for an enlarged photo

Item: Type: Terra Cotta Human Head Effigy Net Weight Provenance: Price
RPOW14 An unusual terra cotta Human Head Effigy Net Weight which Recovered from Mexico (NFI) 50.00
is missing the tip of it's nose, but is otherwise intact. Ex: Greg Perino
Click on the Photo set above for an enlarged photo

Item: Type: Terra Cotta Human Head Effigy and Bird Body Provenance: Price
RPOW15 OK, OK, I know that these 2 terra cotta pieces don't actually "go together", but Recovered from Mexico (NFI) 85.00
I took artistic license to demonstrate what "might have been". An interesting terra
cotta warrior(?) or holy man's head effigy which was broken at the bottom and a
terra cotta winged bird body effigy, anciently broken at both ends. Ex: Greg Perino
Click on the Photo set above for an enlarged photo

Item: Type: Terra Cotta Human Head Effigy and Body Provenance: Price
RPOW16 Another unlikely pairing of a terra cotta Human Head Effigy, possibly that of a Recovered from Mexico (NFI) 85.00
priest, which is anciently broken from it's original body section and a body
section which is missing the head and both legs, but which has a most interesting
"jacket" and a "Buddha belly" Ex: Greg Perino

Item: Type: Set of 3 Terra Cotta Spindle Whorls Provenance: Price

Item: Type: Aztec War Club Blade Provenance: Price
RPOW18 A very scarce, long obsidian uni-faced prismatic flake blade which was used from the ancient Aztec times Recovered from Jalisco, Mexico 200.00
forward, as the deadly part of their war clubs. The war clubs themselves were shaped like a cricket paddle
(and were about the same size) except that the Aztec version had a groove running along the length of both
edges of the paddle where multiple obsidian blades, such as this one, were inserted in the groove, leaving the
outer edge of the obsidian blade for cutting. From historic accounts, we all know how brutal the Aztecs
could be, and this fashion of war club was also used to behead their captives for sacrificial ceremonies and
public entertainment. Obsidian blades such as this have been described as being as sharp as a surgeon's
scalpel, and the last photo above displays this trait, as it easily sliced through a single sheet of paper, small
wonder that these war clubs were capable of completely beheading a victim with a single blow. Ex: Greg Perino

RPOW8 Weird, weird, weird is all I can say... here we have a most interesting 3" Recovered from Africa 85.00

apologize because no age nor cultural affiliation was recorded for these

from their multitude of spam emails. Ex: Greg Perino
